About Me

My first introduction to the preschool environment was through my family. My parents owned and operated their own center for 18 years, and I practically grew up there! I realized from a pretty young age that I wanted to work with this population of kiddos. As I got older and gained more experience, the more curious I became about the field. This inspired me to go to college to learn about child development and early childhood education at the university level.

My curiosity lead me to Tallahassee, Florida- I am a two-time Florida State University graduate! I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Science in 2020, and my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a focus on Special Education in 2021.

Aside from my education, I have worked in different schools with children of all ages, including children with special needs. Being in the classroom allows my creativity to shine. Writing a lesson plan and then seeing it come to life is so satisfying! Thinking outside of the box to invent engaging activities to implement in the classroom is super rewarding to me, and I love it. However…

After working for a while, it became apparent that preschools face a few sticky problems. Teachers often express a lack of support and/or access to resources. Behavior management can be a big challenge, leaving many teachers and directors exhausted at the end of each day. These issues can lead to more problems such as high turnover rates, employee burnout, and sometimes even substandard levels of childcare.

Seeing these challenges inspired me to set out on a mission to help decrease them, as well as empower early childhood personnel in the process. Every teacher deserves to have fun doing their job, and it can be tough when these other factors arise. Having been a preschool teacher, I understand the teacher perspective in a way that most other service providers don’t, and I can provide the right support to re-ignite that love for early childhood education!
